Body, Trauma & Relational Constellations. Healing Traumatized Hearts

Dr Dyrian Benz Chartrand & JoAnna Chartrand-Benz

All traumatic experiences increase the activation level in our nervous system. This training will focus on the importance of tracking & regulating the activation level in clients as they experience their constellations. When clients are overactivated, their brain & bodies will not be able to fully process the constellation. When we work with the autonomic nervous system, this supports more integration of the new material revealed & more possibility to actually create new neural pathways & patterns of behavior for longer lasting benefits.

In Relational Constellations we focus on developmental trauma & themes that affect our way of connecting, loving & belonging. These early traumatic relational ruptures affect the way we are in relationship. This approach supports co-regulation & attunement between facilitator & client. This in itself heals attachment disruptions. Traumatic experiences in the nervous system and in our consciousness are passed on through the generations (epigenetics) and they need to be processed.

We want to avoid retraumatization & find ways to help love flow freely again. We can best do this by avoiding flooding in clients & representatives. We will address concepts such as: Titration, Resourcing, Pendulation, Window of Tolerance, Biological & Emotional Completion.

We want to invite you to hold the intention to help metabolize trauma when facilitating constellations. In general our Relational Constellation work focuses a lot on the relational field & addresses themes like: Intimacy, bonding, interrupted reaching out movement, attachment issues, heart/genital split, basic trust, false autonomy, true autonomy, etc.

Much of these presentations will be influenced by the newer somatic psychologies of working with trauma, such as Somatic Experiencing by Peter Levine. We will do power point presentations of the material, have time for questions & answers in the learning program segments.

Looking at trauma we are looking at loss of connection, connection to ourselves, to our family soul, to our surroundings and to embodied presence.
